As for the car itself, the 2011 Dodge Hornet will be an orthodox four-door hatchback with front-wheel drive, a small four-cylinder engine (likely under 2.0 liters), and bold, boxy styling. Dimensions are likely to fall between those of the Honda Fit and Toyota's youth-magnet Scion xB. The Hornet concept was loaded with fanciful crowd-pleasing features, but few, if any, should survive to the showroom. There's no budget, and too many frills risks diluting whatever price advantage the car might have. Of course, styling and equipment will be tailored for different world markets, so U.S. buyers can expect standard and optional equipment roughly parallel to those of, say, today's Dodge Caliber.
This of course is only speculation.
